"The original room we were shown turned out to have an odd odour. When we complained to the front desk, we were immediately changed to another room. The glass of champagne accompanying the breakfast is a nice touch, and it's even nicer if you can get to have breakfast in the outdoors courtyard. Food was good, just not great. The PAND Hotel, an 18th century carriage house, has been converted to a 26-bedroom boutique hotel.
It is privately run by the owner, whose pride is evidently expressed in the opulent choice of furnishings, objets dart and many antiques.
Each room is beautifully decorated with great care and attention to detail and offer the highest standards of comfort. The 11 junior suites are decorated with stunning fabrics of Ralph Lauren.
The hotel facilities include an intimate lounge, library, cosy and romantic bar, internet corner (WIFI), a country style breakfast room where a full cooked breakfast is served with waiter service and champagne. Eggs are prepared according to your wishes on the AGA stove.
A green patio with fountain and a sauna guarantee complete relaxation.
The PAND Hotel was featured in the Tatler Guide 2006 as one of the best 101 Hotels in the World and as the Best Boutique Hotel in Belgium.
In October 2007 it has been awarded Best Charming Hotel in Europe by the Prix Villégiature 2007, a very high distinction.
The hotel is recommended by journalists around the world for its charm and refined, cosy atmosphere.

Arriving from Brussels/Amsterdam/Calais follow highway E40, take exit 9 for Oostkamp and follow signs for Bruges until you arrive at the ring road. Cross the ring road and the bridge over the canal where one arrives in the Katelijnestraat. Drive straight until the Church of Our Lady. Turn right around the church into the Gruuthusestraat which continues as Dijver along the canal. After Dijver it continues to Rozenhoedkaai. First street on the right is Pandreitje. The hotel is the 3rd house on the right
