"Our family of 5 stayed last weekend at Pohutu Lodge and had a great experience. The place was perfect for a family (we had two rooms plus sofa-bed in lounge, and one and half bathrooms) and at a very good price. It was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen, plenty of bed-linen and towels, thorough housekeeping, and 2 TVs with Sky. It certainly is one of the better motels we have stayed at over the years. The added bonus was that it backed onto an open park area right next to Pohutu Geyser which meant that we were able to 'hop over the fence', across the grass and watch Pohutu from an excellent vantage point. At some point they will need to replace the carpet which is getting old, but that didn't affect what was a good experience for us." - Rossanna Palmer
