"Excellent position, very central, convenient to Station near Santa Maria Novella & San Lorenzo with Duomo and Arno both only a brief walk away. Good range of restaurants in striking distance. Reception very helpful and knowledgeable about eating places. Chambermaid sporadic in replacing toiletries - but maybe she's left by now... Recommended as a good base especially if you get it, as I did, at a knock-down price. Then it is very good value. " - John McGuire

"I enjoyed my stay at the Rivoli Hotel. The staff were very helpful and nice. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel was conveniently located to the train station, an easy walk even with all the luggage. A welcome retreat from a busy day of touring the site of the city centre. Close enough to major sites but far enough to enjoy a quiet night. Highly recommended! I would stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel Rivoli, is excellently located in the historic centre of Florence, 250 metres from the Santa Maria Novella railway station and the exhibition and congress centre of the city. All the main monuments walking distance: the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi gallery, the church of Santa Maria Novella and the academy of fine arts with its renowned statue of David by Michelangelo.
The hotel is a Franciscan convent dating back from the 15th century which has been restored to its unique splendour. Throughout the hotel, the classic ceilings, cross vaults, stone arches and pillars all add to its character.
The style and charm of the public area combine perfectly with the elegant and modern rooms, most overlooking the patio and internal garden, where guests can enjoy the large whirlpool jacuzzi heated to a temperature of 35°c all year round.

By car
The hotel is easily reachable by the motorway A1, exit Firenze Nord. Follow the signs for the city centre, continue towards the bridge Ponte alla Vittoria, cross the river following signs for the railway station. Once in front of the railway station, leaving the station on the left continue to the right into Via Santa Caterina da Siena, at the traffic lights turn left into Via della Scala, the hotel is situated at 100 metres on the right hand side of the road.
By train
The hotel is 200 metres from the santa Maria Novella railway station.
By airplane
The hotel is 4 km from the Florence airport. |
