Our recommendation would be for more adequate airconditioning/heating.The house got very hot during the day and cold at night.

Getting There:
By Car Your Bay of Islands holiday house, The Opua House is just three hours drive north of Auckland via State Highway 1. Instructions on getting there follow:
State Highway 1 from Auckland to Whangarei (approx 2 hrs) Remain on Highway 1 past Whangarei to Kawakawa (approx 40 min) . Continue straight ahead towards Opua and Paihia on Highway 11. Opua is 11km from Kawakawa. 1 km past the turn off to Opua is the Roadrunner Tavern on the left. Turn left onto Ward Street (just before the Roadrunner Tavern). Turn left at the t-section then follow this road up the hill to the end. Continue along the Private Road. The Opua House is the fifth house on the left.
