"My wife and I stayed for 4 nights.
Only complaint was the internet.... while it was free, it was so slow that it really wasn't useable.
And unless you want to pay for them, don't take the slippers.
As others have said, taxi drivers have a hard time finding the place. And if you are traveling by taxi from the international airport the cost is 400B if you book outside at the taxi stand... 1200B if you book with one of the rip-off guys inside the terminal. " - Anonymous
"Very stylish hotel with urban feel, smallish (but atmospheric and large enough) pool, impeccable service, good breakfast buffet (western *and* asian), newspapers and free internet access, very well situated only a few minutes from the Chong Nonsi skytrain station. There's a lively market around the back during weekdays. I look forward to staying at this hotel again next time I will be in Bangkok. The two times we took a taxi, the driver had no problem at all. The clientele consisted mainly of couples (hetero and gay), and appeared to be of the culturally interested type.
I wish to relate an incident that epitomizes the hotel for me: when leaving the hotel for a few days, we discovered a few hours after check-out that we had forgotten some edible presents in the refrigerator. The manager - after ascertaining that those had been throw away by the cleaning staff - graciously replaced them upon our return a few days later with other local sweets of comparable value. "Very nice modern hotel which is clean and stylish. The only problem was the very hot lobby, elevators and halls which seemed to have the air conditioner shut off. This is a problem when using the free internet or waiting in the lobby for any time. " - Janet Andrews
"Excellent stay. The location is fantastic, very close to the Skytrain and the main business district and entertainment venues. This is a former apartment building that has been totally renovated and turned into a hotel.
For people on a longer stay, convenience stores are nearby. If you want to use the kitchen, there is a Villa Supermarket 150m away (providing food items that you do not find in local shops - I love Thai food but sometimes you crave for a taste from home).
The only minor drawback is that taxis will not find the place easily. It was not a problem for me since I actually used to live in this neighborhood for years. But you should take the hotel phone number with you so you can call them. Just in case...
Furniture etc. is new and of decent quality. Bed was excellent. Upper floors are bright and airy. I loved the self service espresso machine at the executive floor.
For that price range, this is the best hotel I know in Bangkok." - Jerome POUDEVIGNE
