"We were disappointed with the layout of the 'motel' like accommodation. The lounge suite was hard and uncomfortable. The furniture was dated and cumbersome. The breakfast was below average with bacon that tasted like rubber. The staff were below average and my husband had to constantly had to ask for hot coffee. We would not use this hotel again for a luxury weekend away." - jacqueline Guild
"We were a little disappointed upon arriving at the hotel to find that I had not been given the room I was previously guaranteed. I was moved to a room with a bigger bed and given a complimentary bottle of red wine and chocolates which was a nice gesture. I was informed that whoever took my booking had miscommunicated which room I would be getting. I followed through with the original confirmation the following week as asked and was rewarded with an apologetic phonecall from the manager and the offer of a voucher for a night in the suite I had originally wanted to use. Although we were initially put out we were well looked after and the extras offered more than made up for it. The hotel is great with lovely decor and facilities, the only issue other issue for us was that the part of town we stayed in is dead on the weekends - difficult to find local restaurants to dine in." - Anonymous
