"The resort is a bit out of town, but its a nice spot. The room was quite good, but there was no air conditioning despite AC controls in the room. The central problem we had was noise. There was a conference being held which ruined it for us. Our room overlooked the front door, and despite complaints, the staff from Clipsal ranted and raved till 4 PM each night. I would not stay there again unless we were guaranteed that there are no functions." - Mark Dignam

Getting There: The Tamar Valley Resort is perfectly positioned approximately 10 minutes drive North of the Launceston CBD in the heart of the exotic Tamar Valley wine region.

If you are arriving from the Launceston Airport, follow the signs to the City of Launceston.

Do not take any turns just stay on the main highway into the City from the Airport.

When in the Launceston CBD take the (A7) West Tamar Highway by turning left at the York Street intersection.

The Tamar Valley Resort is then approximately 10 minutes drive North of the Launceston CBD via the West Tamar (A7) Highway.

Just look for the signs to the suburb of "Grindelwald".

As you approach the 2nd round about which is approx 10 minutes drive from the CBD, the Woolworths Legana shopping centre is located on your right.

Travel ahead through the round about for approx 1km, then turn left into Atkinson Road & travel 2 minutes up the rolling enchanting hills to discover the very special Tamar Valley Resort.

Check-in Procedure: Check In is available 24 Hours a Day - 7 Days a Week. After 8pm the After Hours manager will gladly assist with your check in requirements.

All Hotel Suites & Chalets offer FREE UNLIMITED AUSTAR with 8 dedicated Movie, Sports and Business channels Plus numerous Free to air channels as well.
