"Normal day rates for this hotel are quite high (150GBP) however we obtained last minute rates through this site and got a very good deal. Hotel is in center of city, very close to the Tower of London and Thames River. Easy to find, a few minutes from East Aldgate Station. " - Nicholas Rijsdijk

"We needed a hotel near to Aldgate East tube station. The City Hotel was 1 minute away, so was very convenient. Only 1 stop from Liverpool Street Station. Hotel very clean. Room was spacious and clean. Curtains very poor - hanging off rail in places. View of the "Gherkin" especially good at night. Adjacent Lanes bar good - breakfast served in here. Good continental breakfast and available alternative hot dishes available at low price for hotel residents. Would stay here again. " - Barbara Booth
