"We had to be shown 3 rooms before we found one where the Air-con didn't sound like a helicopter from the Vietnam war; same vintage perhaps, as the not unhelpful staff said. "For the price this hotel is excellent but it has its dingy rooms. We stayed 2 nights either end of our holiday. First 2 were in a room low down with no natural light (window was onto a tiny courtyard with no view of the sky!) This was a depressing stay. Second stay was in a room high up, with windows on 2 sides with good light and views. Both rooms cost the same! Breakfast was good and reception staff helpful. Even allowed us to leave baggage while we flew to Cairns for 5 days. I'd recommend for the price and location... but ask for an external room!" - Neil Reynolds

Buses to Circular Quay and Sydney Central stop at the hotel's front door. The Kings Cross Train Station is a several minute walk away. The Opera House is about 30 minute walk.

Only metres away from bus stops and train station.
Only 13km from the airport, shuttle buses will take you right to the doorstep of the hotel.
Preferences for smoking or non-smoking room are not guaranteed.
If driving, just follow the main road, Southern Cross Drive, heading north and it simply becomes South Dowling Street and then Victoria Street, Darlinghurst Road, and finally Macleay Street all in one road.
The taxi from the airport is approximately $30.00 - $45.00 and takes 25 - 45 minutes depending on traffic.
The KST Airporter shuttle bus costs $10.00 per adult and takes about 45 minutes - not provided by the hotel, but the Airport Express stops at the doorstep every 30 minutes.
Taxi from Central railway station is approximately $ 20.00 for about 15 minutes.
