"The hostal was being renovated while I was there so it was often impossible to find staff to deal with mere guests. However, I can't imagine a better location for anyone who comes to see the Alhambra: it's right opposite the site while most other tourists have to catch a bus from the densely-popuilated city below, or walk up a long, steep hill. Although you had to pay extra for breakfast, you had a choice of big, flakey pastries — well worth it!" - Barbara David

The best thing of the hostal is the location in front of Alhambra and the tickets office, A+. In general, the place is for price sensitive consumers and you won't get any extra value.
We found the place because everything was already booked in Granada for the long weekend.
We didn't have tickets to Alhambra and we wake up early and join the line before 7:30 AM.
