"Hotel was in a reasonable location, quite central to everything, although there was not much choice in the immediate area with regards to restaurants and shops. The Hanzomon subway station was right across the road, while the JR station was about 15-20 mins' walk away. The room was a good size, very modern and clean, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful." - Myint Soe
"It is a nice hotel with friendly staff, located in a safe area nearby all major attractions and shopping malls.. however:
-The hotel staff doesn't speak english too well, it would be much better when they train their staff in english
-There is no tour desk at the hotel, every 4 star hotel should have it..

"Fantastic location - right across the street from the Hanzomon Metro station (Exit 5). Relatively quiet area compared to some other crazy sections of Tokyo! Plenty of coffee shops and small cafes nearby. Very friendly staff, with fine English skills. They even smile when I try speaking my really poor Japanese (lazy American here). Everything is nice, clean, new, and less than half the price of the other Tokyo hotels where I have stayed. As a sensitive non-smoker, I can say my rooms here have been as fresh and well-kept as the 4-star hotels I have tried. Single rooms are spacious enough for one person with luggage. At 6'3" I can also say the bathrooms are small but NOT "Japanese tiny", meaning I can actually stand up the shower and move around - point proven. Nice, deep bathtub with shower head & curtain. Shiny & clean! Will be returning and staying here again. Even my Japanese business colleagues said I did great discovering the Monterey Hanzomon! " - Anonymous

The hotel is newly built and opened on Sep.12, 2006.
The design concept, such as room coloring,
is based on the taste of old samurai residence in Edo era.
