"This is a typical Australian "pub" with accommodation above. The rooms are basic a bit spartan and of odd sizes. The elevator is often out of service and requires a special key in order to operate it which is very inconvenient. The hotel is conveniently located and represents reasonable value at the budget end of the market. " - Andrew Smith

"Ideal location at an excellent rate handy to trains, buses, theatres and cinema's and walking distance to heart of Sydney. This hotel has the charm of the hotels/pubs of old Sydney town brought back to life. Have currently rated as good, and would expect it to rise to very good once renovations are completed and the lift installed. Would stay again when back in Sydney. Thanks

"The Macquarie Boutique Hotel Sydney is well positioned and easy to find in the CBD. Nice rooms and breakfast thrown in is a nice touch the larger and more expensive hotels could learn from. One word of caution though - the hotel ia still a working pub with bands that play into the night. Take care if you do not carry ear plugs when travelling!" - Pamela Babb

The Macquarie Boutique Hotel is situated in the heart of the city, offering a unique pub stay experience. The hotel has completely been remodelled with a new micro-brewery opened in December 2004.
The hotel is fully equipped with gaming room, cafe, bottle shop, saloon bar, internet café, bistro and TAB facilities, offering the highest quality of standard features.
Each room features its own ensuite bathroom, high speed internet connection, reversed cycle air-conditioning, refrigerator, tea & coffee making facilities, television and telephone. All rooms are serviced daily. The Macquarie Boutique Hotel offers family stays, with a three bedroom apartment, loft room and balcony room both subject to availability. Breakfast and lunch is served daily in our own MacCafe Bar.
The Alice Thai Restaurant is located on the first floor offering extensive Thai and Australian cuisine.
Our information centre has extensive brochures for you to choose some exciting sight seeing adventures.
