"We found the customer service and location excellent. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The only disappointment is, although the room was tidy and nice, under the bed and near the sofas could be cleaner. We checked under the bed because we found some items behind the sofa accidentally. Nothing bad, just food wrappers etc. Also the TV remote wouldn’t work, even with the replacement one. I would stay again, but would question it if it was the same in a few months though.

"The staff each time I stay at this hotel are not only friendly but go out of their way to help. The location is very central to all with trams and buses right outside their door and less than 10min tram ride into the city.
The area is safe, and centrally located without being noisy and over-crowded. With renovations in place and continuing within the near future, the Rydges on Swanston is definately worth the extra $ in other hotels for 1.location 2.service and 3. the best pepermint icecream and hot chips ever!" - Anonymous
