"The hotel is in a fantastic location - walking distance to many local attractions and the tourist info, the hotel public areas are really lovely and have a good old world charm. Bedroom we had was large and spacious. Only downside was the that bathroom was filthy and in desperate need of moderisation. " - Anonymous

"We spent one night at the Princes Gate and it was a wonderful experience. The building is very beautiful and romantic. We had a soak in the hot pool which is in the courtyard off the restaurant, such a beautiful setting with the lights and planting. The only negative was the acoustics because we were near the stairs, but you have to expect that in an historic building. Thanks for the experience we will definetly be back." - Abigail Prestidge

"Felt that they let themselves down a bit as your initial impression of the hotel is of a boutique type hotel but some of the furnishings and fittings didn''t fit in with that impression. Wasn''t the cleanest place with dirty taps in our bathroom and the spa pools had ants crawling around them. The restaurant was available on the Saturday night unless you had the meal and jazz session combined. Found that a bit strange for a hotel. Very friendly staff and as I said the initial impression was "Wow"." - Gerry Keating
