"Booked the Maisonette site unseen on the Internet. The rooms are small, but reasonably clean and comfortable. The staff is always helpful and the little cafe downstairs is vibrant and charming. No frills or decor, but nothing distasteful either, unlike many of the hostels and small hotels nearby. $5 a day extra for wireless internet in room (FYI, they have TWO access points for better coverage...had to figure this out. For Sydney, the price is good compared to what you would get elsewhere. Best parts: quiet (as much as it could be), and LOCATION. 20 min walk to Oxford St, CBD, Botanical gardens, Opera House. 3 blocks to train, plus the 311 bus picks up at the corner. Woolworths and lots of cheap eats closeby. Would stay again! " - Edward Helvey
"The Maisonette Hotel was a great find. Good location to public transportation (Kings Cross) as well to the Opera House and the Rocks. Cafes and restaurants at your doorstep. "Clean hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, relatively cheap comparing to other hotels in Sydney.
