"We really enjoyed our stay at the Midland Hotel, it is one of the oldest hotels in Manchester (or perhaps the oldest?), and retains much of its old world charm. Many hotels of this age would be rather shabby, however, the Midland is very smart and looks to have had a recent facelift. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel itself is in a great central location and has a series of places to eat and wine bars etc. close by. Within a few minutes walk, there are lots of good shopping places for the shopaholics among you. The public transport network is also excellent around this area. We hope to return soon." - Susan Lane
