"Family run hotel, with an excellent breakfast included in the price and close to station." - peter crawford
"This hotel is a very good tourist hotel. It's located a couple of minutes walk from Metro line 6 and has easy access to all parts of the city. The rooms are clean, although a bit drab. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff really helpful" - Anonymous
"This is a small, old hotel in a backstreet about 3km from the centre of Vienna. The dining room with its panelled and tapestry hung walls is equisite but unfortunately only used for breakfast as the restaurant was closed. The original elegant reception area has unfortunately been commandeered for the breakfast buffet. The reception now, with its sofas, big TV, and large drinks fridge has all the ambience of a Turkish taxi office.
I chose the cheapest single room - very small without its own toilet but 40 Euros less than a fully equipped one.
If the price was low the service was not penny pinching. The rooms were clean with fresh linen every day. The breakfast was sumptuous if a little hands-on (make your own toast, fry your own eggs) but help yourself to smoked salmon and a glass of sparkling wine!
The location is not glamorous but is convenient.
Altogether a good choice for me and amazing value. " - David Overton
