"We were in the old part of the hotel. Over all it was worth the money we spent. Staff was helpfull and friendly." - Horst Wippich
"i found the Astor quite run down and not value for money. Cracked tiles, poor paintwork etc. I usually stay at the Rendezvous, if they are charging $138 for a twin room, then i cannot see how $119 can be justified by the Astor, with regards to it's current condition" - Janine Fidock
"if you can get into the best western section then it is good. beware of the other section of the hotel it is a total dive. staff apart from a few were not helpful. complaints include. bath not working, cracked tiles and windows, carpet dirty with stains, twin room = double bed and sofa NOT 2 beds, freezer over frozen, light in pool floating around with leads attached! What more can I say - poor." - Anonymous
"the room had the feeling that it hadn't been cleaned,(it had). the bathroom tap dripped, the toilet ran.
I would look for another hotel in the same area, not sure if I would go back to the astor" - Anonymous
