"Great location tube stop only around the corner. M&S opposite the hotel. The room was small, we were on the 6th floor and the outside wall was slopping in towards us, which meant that the bath/shower also slopped in so you were slanting your head out of the shower not to hit your head off it and im 5ft could be because we were near the roof! the window frames were rotten. Breafast was average, cereal, roll/croissant/concentrated juice/tea/coffee.But it was clean, yeah the hotel was a bit tired looking but for a short stay it was fine. i would reccommend it." - Anonymous

Hotel Description:    Situated in a quiet, leafy conservation area within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, just 200 yards from Earl’s Court Underground Station, the Barkston Gardens Hotel is a converted terraced Victorian House offering spacious, comfortable rooms with modern-day amenities.

Built at the turn of the 19th century, this 3 star standard hotel has recently undergone refurbishment and now features three modern meeting rooms, a spacious bistro, and a traditional pub-style bar with high-speed Internet access while still retaining its charm and splendour. Please note that the restaurant will not be open from 1st December 2008. Staff at Reception will be more than happy to recommend and provide directions to popular restaurants in the area which will suit your taste. If you prefer to dine at the hotel, bar snacks will be available in Le Rendezvous as well as through room service. Breakfast will continue to be served as normal. Conference facilities will be available until the end of February 2009.
