"A fantastic Boutique Hotel for anyone who doesn't like big, impersonal "concrete-block-Hotels". Location is also okay at the edge of Chinatown. " - John Mason
"My Fiancee and I are locals who love pretending to be tourists in our own country. Berjaya is indeed a very unique hotel situated in a very unique part of Singapore. The location was surprisingly quiet and still has a lot of sights around. The Hotel was beautiful. Though not grand, it is very quiant and charming. The room was very unique. The carpet and other fittings were quiet old and dated, including the very noisy air conditioning. Nevertheless, for the visitor to Singapore, a couple nights stay would be quite the experience." - Anonymous
"Reception staff were always friendly. Hotel is an historic building, and has a nice atmosphere. Our room was upgraded to the suite, which was quite nice, although there were a few problems such as the toilet didn't flush properly and needed a few attempts to flush. Breakfast would have been better if they offered a continental breakfast. Hotel is located next to China Town which is fantastic during the Lunar New Year celebrations, although the location is not ideal for families, as it is in the main Bar and nightclub strip." - Lufrey Eliorda
"The room was in need of redecoration-the wallpaper and paint were worn and tired.
The complimentary breakfast was poor. No choice;no cereal or yoghurt, no fruit offered, bread stale and the milk sour. A Danish pastry had sour custard.
The location in Chinatown is excellent with great eateries around the corner e.g. the Blue Ginger. Will stay again" - Robert Hamilton
