"The room was very clean and tidy. the bath was nice. This hotel is great if all you want to do is go to sovergeign hill. we found it far from the city centre. Staff forgot to give us breakfast the second morning and didn't say anything about it when we brought it up. staff gave us a hard time about mailing us our coats because she would have to put them in a box eventhough we made it clear we would be paying for it! Very annoying dog held in the resturaunt and barked at you nonstop when you went to the front desk." - Anonymous

Opened in January 2006, Best Western Ballarat is located directly opposite Sovereign Hill Historical Park.

Best Western Ballarat offers, spacious luxuriously appointed motel suites with king size beds including cable TV, broadband and dial up internet access, DVD players including Japanese plunge spas.

The hotel offers charge-back facilities for the restaurant located next door and a bar is located within the hotel itself.

Best Western Ballarat offers direct dial phones, modem points for broadband and dial up internet access with generously sized sized work stations within the lounge area of our suites.

Getting There:

Best Western Ballarat is located directly opposite Sovereign Hill Historical Park. Travelling from Melbourne follow the Western Freeway to Ballarat, take the 1st Ballarat exit. Continue 4km along the main thoroughfare to the large roundabout at McDonalds Bakery Hill. Turn left to Humffrey Street, continue 100m and turn left into Main Road. Proceed 1.4km along Main Road following the directional signs to Sovereign Hill. Continue on Main Road, 200m past the Sovereign Hill turnoff. We are located directly opposite the Poppet Head mine structure overlooking Sovereign Hill.
