"Staff were helpful and polite. Buffet Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. The hotel is quite convenient for the centre of Hamburg by a regular train service which is two stops from the Centre station, prices of the train service were very reasonable. "Hotel has a good connection to public transport (10 min. walk to tram). Rooms are big enough but nothing special. Looking outside you can see the motorway but due to double windows the noise is not too bad. Good choice for somebody staying in the city just overnight and not needing a deluxe place. The Gresham Carat Hotel is located south of the „Hafencity“, directly at the famous „Elbbrücken“, only few minutes to the harbour, cruise terminal, the Ballinstadt museum and the famous “Speicherstadt”
The city center with well known shopping streets and the central station can be reached easily by subway (s-bahn) in only 2 stations.
Due to the proximity to the highway the hotel can be reached without any problems via A1, A7 and A24. Your car can be parked on the free parking spaces behind the hotel or in our parking garage, so you can enjoy Hamburg with public means of transportation.
Every room is very spacious and is equipped with sound-isolated windows, wireless internet and coffee & tea facilities. Our sauna and solarium can be used without any extra charges.

A7 and A1 from the south coming:
At the motorway junction A1 "Horster Dreieck" take the direction to "Hamburg-Centrum" till the motorway junction "Hamburg-Süd", then take the A255, direction "Hamburg-Centrum". First exit "Veddel", cross the "Peutestraße" at the traffic light, straight ahead you get to the Carat Hotel.
A1 from the north coming:
At the motorway junction "Hamburg-Süd" take the A255 to "Hamburg-Centrum", first exit "Veddel", cross the "Peutestraße" at the traffic light, straight ahead you get to the Carat Hotel.
A7 from the north coming:
Exit "Volkspark" then follow the direction "Elbbrücken". On the "Elbbrücken" take the right lane,
get off at the exit "Veddel", take a left and you get to the Carat Hotel.
Coming from the city:
Follow the direction "Elbbrücken", on the "Elbbrücken" take the exit "Veddel".
