CHAMP PATTAYA HOTEL (THE)

"Though i had mentioned in the iteinery that i will be reaching the hotel at 6AM (my flight landed 3 30 AM), I was told upon arrival to the hotel that the room would be ready at 12PM which was very tiring. The reception staff was very rude and even yelled at us (my wife and myself) which was unpleasant. They were not at all helpful, there was a woman in the staff though who was very good and I appreciate her calming down and appologizing on the behalf of others. Everyone else was good and I had a pleasant stay. " - Amit Tikoo

"You get what you pay for, in this case it was bad service, security and a hot water system that only pumps out hot water if only 1 person on the floor is taking a shower. Also the balcony window in my room did not have a lock on it and would not lock, i notified reception about this and they advised me that they had sent someone out to buy a lock and it would be installed, however it was not the case. There is a joiner fee for bringing guests to your room, apparently the fee is in place for our security. It seems like their only concern is increasing their bottom line because the room i booked was the best one in the hotel, i would have hated to be staying in one of the lower end rooms. I am glad I only booked the room for 1 night because there is no chance in hell I would have been happy staying there for another night. It is definately the worst hotel experience I have ever had and would not be recommending this hotel to anyone travelling to pattaya. " - Anonymous

"Rooms are very tiny & bathroom not very clean hence the cheap price. Air-conditioning was set on freezing cold, especially for night time & when we asked for extra blankets they could not provide any. Free buffet breakfast was a disappointment as there was not much variety & same dishes served up every day. Hotel is a bit of a walk from main town centre." - Anonymous
