"What a really great hotel. Oozing character, great courtyard to breakfast in, perfect location on the edge of Sodermalm. My room was in what they call the annex: cheaper because there's a shared bathroom, but with its own sink, large and looking onto the courtyard. The best, and most expensive rooms. look out onto the Katarina church and its beautiful graveyard. Don't even think of staying anywhere else..." - Anonymous

Columbus Hotell is a charming 3-star hotel in an attractive listed building dating from 1780, and with St Catherine´s Church as its nearest neighbour. Columbus Hotell has retained a flavour of its elegant past blended with the standards now expected in the best hotels. The hotel is centrally situated in Stockholm on Södermalm, one of Stockholms most beautiful and attractive areas.
The brewer Lorenz Sifvert had this building erected in 1780 so he could site his brewery here. The brewery was set up on the ground floor of the building, and his workers were housed in the upper storey. Today, the Columbus Hotell offers wine tasting, which takes place in our attractive wine cellar in the basement, below our 18th-century vaults.
