"Lovely hotel, excellent size room and bath. Very new. Great location IF you want to be on the St. Marks Square. Church bells will drive you crazy. Staff was nice, but not the greatest. Just nice. Bellhop was pushy and wanted more tip. I definitely would stay here again, but this was my 2nd and last trip to Venice. It is a wonderful place, but so is all of Italy!! Go to Murano but DO NOT BUY ANYTHING there. We did buy---after much investigation and soul searching- a lovely Murano chandelier which was expensive--- and tried to compare it to the same style on Murano, but was much cheaper in Venice itself. take the #82 ACTV boat from the train station to St. Marks, it is funm, fast and cheap and you get a wonderful view of lots of Venice on the way in. The Mafia controls the gondolas and they are EXPENSIVE. " - William Morton
