"Absolutely uniquely amazing hotel as far as design. Staff was very friendly as well. It was located about 7 blocks away from the San Telmo square, which has really cool arts fairs and tango shows at night. A+ for adventure, but girls may want to avoid walking around late at night here." - joshua huddleston
"Casa Vaiven is very good:
1. Interesting building (converted from old factory) with cool design details (mix of antique furniture & modern fittings). Living space very relaxing with WiFi, PC with iīnet (no charge) plus cool reading material!
2. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Only about 5 (?) guest rooms so always available to help, esp. as present 24/7, not like some other places. Also very security conscious.
3. Very good value - Basically itīs a very cheap price for kind of boutique place. Location isnīt really in heart of San Telmo but compared to similar places close by it is cheap.
As mentioned staff are v. aware of security - made us concerned about the area but that also just getting used to BA. After few days there I now think that area is OK (not great but if you are savvy it will be safe).
Oh yeah, also takes bookings over the internet unlike lots of places. Enjoy!" - Brendan Harber
"Two very lovable cats live at Casa Vaiven so if your not a cat lover and donīt wish to share their place with them then this isnīt the place for you.
The two young girls who work the front office are a delight and very helpful so too is Celia the owner.
Would stay there again when next in Buenos Aires. " - Trevor Chant
"If you want a hotel run like a bed and breakfest, this is the place. The staff are great and they will make your trip to Buenos Aires so comfortable. If you want a hotel room with all the comforts, get the apartment rooms. If you are on a budget, the other rooms are perfectly fine. " - Anonymous
