"Because we booked on Rates to Go the price was affordable otherwise it would have been beyond our range. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and the location was great....close to everything but far enough away from the tourist mass at 'The Pier' area. "A very nice hotel a couple of blocks from Union Square. There is another Nikko Hotel in Japan Town area which I am not reviewing. Be sure to specify which Nikko to your taxi driver. There is a Starbucks in the bottom corner of the hotel, which is very convenient. Valet parking is about $44 a day with city taxes. But worth the cost considering traffic and that most streets in the area are one way. This can be a difficult place to drive if you are not familiar and are trying to find the hotel at night. Sunday brunch in the hotel restaurant (Anzu) is very good. The hotel was able to hold our luggage and car all day Sunday after checkout while we shopped until we left SF without any extra charge.
