"Very pleasant place to stay for a break in Singapore. Close to local markets." - David Rice
"I have previously stayed at this Hotel when it was run by Novotel. I think the standards have dropped a bit with the new management (Furama) in some aspects of their service.
When we checked in, the Air-conditioning was not working, but this was fixed shortly after we called Reception. Breakfast is good at The Square Restaurant on Level 2. Wireless Internet Access was available on our floor (7th) which was good. Paid SGD40.00 for 24 hours of access time. Appears to be no difference between Superior and Deluxe Room other than Deluxe comes with Breakfast.
Shuttle Bus runs between Chintown, Orchard Rd and Hotel roughly every 2 hours till about 8pm which is handy. Taxis are cheap in Singapore so we ended up using them most of the time. There is a MRT station at Outram Rd, which is a long walk. Best to get to Chinatown on the Shuttle Bus and then use the MRT there - about 200m down the road from where Shuttle Bus drops you off.
For the price you pay, the Hotel is OK." - Anonymous
"The hotel is in a very good location only 5 mins to Orchard road by taxi, be careful thr doormen like to get you a mercedes taxi ($25 for 3/5 min ride)make sure you only use local taxis.
The rooms are acceptable, nthing to write home about.
The cable tv, excuse me cable tv with nothing on it worth watching.
Internet access, oh yes the internet access for VERY RICH people, cost $40 dollars for 24 hours usage (in one go) or as is expeced in Singapore you can get it for short time only!!! that is of course at an even higher rate.
Generally hotel is ok, overpriced for what you get, but then all Singapore hotels are, would i stay again? i would,nt rush to but i,ve stayed in worse." - Anonymous
