"Stayed in 1 bed apartment for 1 week during Feb 2007. We were glad to not have chosen a 'swim out' room with direct access to the pool as there is less privacy. We found the accommodation very spacious, comfortable and affordable, with everything we needed. Very quiet position, best to have a car but there is a shuttle bus to take you to the town centre (5 min drive). Best feature is the 2 lagoon pools, 1 of which we had to ourselves most of the time. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend this property to anyone, and would not hesitate to stay again." - Tracy Papas
"Nice place, about 5 min drive from town. Our cheap rate was cheap because it didn't include room servicing. Fridge was empty, so you need to buy all your own stuff, but kitchen was fully equipped. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Heaps of air con in the apartment, so you never felt the heat. Would stay there again. " - Roberto Materia
"Lovely Hotel !!, recption staff were first class , helped us with all our queries and fixed things for us. Hotel was undergoing some building work but it did not affect us , would certainly recomend this Hotel.it will be quite something when completed! " - Colin Christie
"Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms. We stayed in October 2007. We had a 1 bedroom apartment with a private plunge pool. This was situated at the front of the hotel and so we were not affected by the construction site. Easy transport to Port Douglas every 15-30 minutes, the bus stop is at the Tree Tops resort approx 50 metres from the Oaks. No restaurant at the Oaks but easy access to Tree Tops or to Port Douglas.
