"The hotel was in a terrific location for several reasons. It is a two minute walk from the train station which brings passengers in from the airport, and is only a five minutes walk to popular Union Square and the ticket office /departure point of the cable car that travels to Fisherman's Wharf. A word of warning though...the hotel is in a seedy area of the city right next to an upmarket area and therefore it is advisable to take extreme care after dark due to the numerous drug affected people on the streets and beggars. We made sure we were in our hotel before dark and stayed there! The front desk staff at the hotel were excellent." - DUNCAN MCINTOSH

Ideally situated on Market Street, between the Orpheum and the Golden Gate Theaters, this triangle-shaped property offers guests easy access to the city's most popular tourist attractions, such as Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf (a 20-min ride on the historic Market Street trams). The Powell Street Cable Car turnaround is only 5 min away. All public transportation is available right in front of the hotel. Its central, convenient location as well as the reasonable rates make the Renoir Hotel one of the most popular in its class.

Enjoy the stress-free access from/to SFO international airport by taking the Bay Area Rapid Transit (or BART = the underground ). The cost is only $4.95 one way, and the Renoir Hotel is situated on the street level of the Civic Center station. Please exit on the 7th and Market Street exits (elevators & escalators available), the Renoir Hotel is just across the street.
From OAK Airport, we also recommend you to take the AirBart shuttle ($2.00) or a cab from the airport to get to the coliseum BART station. Take any train (Fare is $ 3.15 /Time 40 minutes) which goes to downtown San Francisco and get off at the Civic Center station. Follow signs for Jones and McAllister st. exit. The hotel is right in front! This option is the most economical.
