"Though we reserved a non-smoking room and the room we stayed was truly indicated as a non-smoking room, it had a strong smell of tobacco smoke. Hotel should be checked.

"We stayed at the hotle for three nights. The staff were excellent, very helpful in every way. The first night was very uncomfortable because the air conditioning was not yet turned on and we could only cool off our room by opening our windows to a very noisy street. We were moved to the back for the remaining nights at our request. Ask for a room away from the street. And don't ask if a hotel in southern Europe has air conditioning - ask if it is working AND turned on.
