"A great local stay experience in the West Village. The complex of 16 studios is being renovated at present but the studio was well fitted out and very clean and tidy. Be aware that there is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. This location is excellent, just 300m from the subway and in a very quiet little side street in the middle of what is a pretty busy residential, eating and student area. Excellent all round value, everything worked well including effective heating and aircon, even an espresso machine - would certainly stay here again." - Mark Brand
"We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a 1 bed property around the corner from the Minetta suites on Bleeker Street, which was basically in dire need of a complete refurb and a thorough clean - but did the job, cheap and in a really great location - I dread to think what it would have been like in a smaller place based on my ratings above." - Anonymous
"The phone numbers listed on the door did not work. Furthermore, once the staff was contacted the wait to get in was exceptionally long. The room itself was great and so was the location. Overall, a very good place to stay." - Anonymous
"Don't go here for anything else than the excellent location! Checking-in was chaotic; the room we booked (supposedly 2 bedrooms) in first instance not available but we were offered to go to another appartment building. When we refused all of a sudden there was another room available. However, very, very small, on the 5th floor (no elevator) and aircon not working (at 35 C temp...). When we complained (again) the 2 bedroom original room was suddenly available but not clean yet. When we came back at the end of the day the cleaner did not come so we ended up making our own bed in a 200 eur/night hotel and cleaning the bathroom... The next day the room was cleaned however. This hotel (although I would not really call it like that) is WAY too expensive for what they offer (which is very little except the great neighbourhood)!" - Anonymous
