"The only issue I had with this hotel, was that the bathroom smelt slightly of stale wee, other than that it was great and Im sure we will use it again. The staff were really friendly and helpful." - Anonymous
"The hotel was clean except for soap scum on the shower curtains. That's minor, so the hotel was comfortable, clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. The breakfast was excellent as well. Be warned: You must have a car to get here. I don't think that public transport serves this area. (It's 30 min outside of Edinburgh). " - Marja Mullings

From Glasgow, follow the signs for M8 Edinburgh. Take exit 4 off the M8. At the roundabout take the 1st left. Next roundabout, straight on. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit, signposted to Uphall and Broxburn. Follow this road and you will come to a short stretch of dual carriageway. Take the next slip road to the left, signposted Blackburn and Whitehill Industrial estate. At the roundabout, take 1st left signposted Blackburn. At next roundabout, straight on & hotel is 200 yards on your right.
From Edinburgh, follow sign for M8 and Glasgow. Take exit 3A -left at roundabout – at next roundabout go left, straight over the next roundabout – take the first slip road down to the roundabout go right and the Cairn is 200 yards on your right.
Bathgate railway station is a 4min taxi ride from the hotel. There is regular train service from Bathgate to Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Airport is a 15 minutes drive away, and Glasgow Airport is within 40 minutes. |
