Consumer Reviews and Rating

"Very expensive for what the standard and facilities - the only saving grace is the location. Check in staff boardered on rude and were extremely slow. The hotel complex contains many hotels (campsites etc.) but they all belong to the same company . Also check the hotels pricing versus local suppliers we found significant markups on helicopter flights and water to name two diverse items." - john Hall

"Subject to power cuts - we where without power for 4 hours in 43 degrees - not good - no back up generators - overall hotel was not very good and staff rather beligerant " - Leigh Roberts

"Very good hote, maybe too expensive." - Vilem Novak

"This has a great location with views of Ayer's Rock if requested. It's pretty basic, but everything in Ayer's Rock is overpriced, including this hotel. I would stay here again, but best to save it for a special occasion as this is the most overpriced hotel I have ever stayed in. " - Anonymous

Hotel Description:    A superior 4 ½ star hotel at Voyages Ayers Rock Resort, Desert Gardens Hotel is set amongst magnificent ghost gums and flowering native shrubs. Each of the 218 rooms of the Desert Gardens features the unique flora of the Central Australian Desert. Centrally located to all resort and touring facilities, the hotel offers a range of stylish accommodation, from shaded poolside rooms to superb deluxe rooms.

With over 65 tours, local activities and attractions within the Resort and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, your days will be action-packed. Ride a camel across the dunes to watch sunrise or sunset, or hop on a Harley for a burn around Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). You can relax in the comfort of your own private balcony or courtyard, or unwind in the hotel's refreshing pool, sipping cocktails from the Bunya bar.

It's only a short stroll to Desert Gardens' numerous lookouts, where you can view what is arguably Australia's best sunset, with the spectacular play of colours across the face of Uluru and the surrounding desert.
