DIPLOMAT HOTEL FLORENCE

"I recently stayed at the hotel Diplomat for 3 days while taking in the sights of Florence. The hotel is convieniently situated for train travelers, directly across from Santa Maria Novella station and a short walk from all the major sites. My single room was more than adequate with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The breakfast buffet was ample, excellent and served from 7:00-10:30. The 50 euro a night rate was definitely a plus! The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there is a grocery store across the street, as well as a post office, and several good and inexpensive eat in/ take out eating spots attached to the hotel. The train station location was not a problem, seemed no more seedy than anywhere else I walked to and as a middle-aged woman traveling alone I felt extremely safe. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. All in all a very good stay and would definitely recommend this hotel especially at the low rates offered this winter.... " - Anonymous

"We recieved a very warm welcome. The room was well air conditioned and it was very modern and tidy. The breakfasts were excellent with a large variety of cereal, rolls, pastries, cold meat. cheese, fruit, yoghurts and drinks to choose from." - Rachel Barrett

"The hotel is just located right next to the train station, which you can't miss it. The hotel staff is nice and friendly most of the time. The size of the room is very good and clean at all corners. The hotel breakfast is fairly good. It's kind of a good choice there. You can also find the restaurants, convenience story and internet nearby. Walking distance to the shopping and attaction.
