"Although a little outside the City all tourist attractions and main areas of Rome are easily reached via the Metro which is only a 5 minute walk from the Hotel. The Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and very willing to make your stay an excellent experience. The rooms are modern in décor and cleaned daily. We stayed B&B and the Breakfast Choice was good offering Continental Style buffet with fruit, yoghurts and cereal along with scrambled eggs and bacon. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We only stayed for a 3 night break but should I visit Rome again I will use this hotel." - Richard Parsons

"Hotel is very near to the metrostation (Cornelius) so it is easy to transport your self to the different historical sites.Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs etc. No noise from trafic. Only problem is that the rooms are not very soundproof. Also we recieved2 beds put together instead of king size bed.But with the price in mind I think it was a okay hotel and again good breakfast to start the day with." - Christian Fabritius Petersen

Hotel Description:    The Grand Hotel Palazzo Carpegna is a 4 star hotel located a few minutes from the Vatican City-St. Peter's Basilica and Rome city centre.

The hotel is housed in a wonderful historical building, within the fascinating setting of Villa Carpegna park, surrounded by luxuriant gardens.

Recently completely renovated the Grand Hotel Palazzo Carpegna
offers 200 rooms including Classic, Superior and Junior Suite. All the rooms are comfortable and carefully furnished.

All rooms are equipped with private bathroom, satellite colour TV, air conditioning, direct dial telephone and minibar.

Some rooms are especially equipped for disabled and wheelchair access.

The hotel provides two restaurants, Le Bistrot and the Ballroom Il Colonnato, which offers excellent quality traditional Italian cuisine and a very interesting selection of d.o.c. wines.

The Bar Il Chiostro is open for snacks and drinks which can also be served in the patio garden.

The extensive conference and banqueting facilities, the large public areas, the beautiful Cloister and the imposing three-aisle Church complete the romantic atmosphere of this hotel that is definitely out of the ordinary.

Getting There: By car
The complex can be easily accessed via the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring-road, which is connected to all the main highways. From the Raccordo, take exit number 1 Città del Vaticano-Aurelio. The hotel is situated around 3 km from the exit.

By train
The Roma Termini railway station is situated around 10 km from the property. From Termini, take the subway line A in the direction of Battistini and get off at Cornelia. The hotel is around 300 metres away.

By airplane
The Fiumicino airport is about 25 km from the hotel and is well connected to the city by highway and express train service.
