"The hotel rooms (like Swiss chalets) are undergoing renovation. My room hadn't been renovated and it was appauling. Doors hanging off and the front door had to be locked with a pad-lock! I felt continually ripped off - I had to pay extra per day just to use the things in my room (e.g. air-con, safe, more than 1 towel etc.) that I had already paid for! The cocktail waiter cannot make a decent cocktail and the food menu in the restaurant (which isn't open after 8pm!) was diabolical. Pool and gardens were excellent though." - Matthew Rees

"We had a great stay at the All Seasons Resort. It is just off the main strip in St. James so it is quiet but still just a short walk to shops, restaurants, the beach, the bus stop, grocery and the like. We found the staff very helpful, enjoyed night swims in the pool and the quiet at night. One thing is you have to pay $12 USD for the airconditioning, but this is not unreasonable especially since we got a good rate on the room through ratestogo.com. Stop for a coffee at the Italian Coffee shop on your way in, and we found two great restaurants if you head North up the main street on the West side. One was something like the Beach Hut (a bit pricier) and the other was names Zaccios or something. Both overlooking the ocean. " - Jonathan Crane
