The Excelsior Grand Hotel is a modern and efficient hotel located in the centre of the lively city of Catania, a stone’s throw from the natural scenery of Etna.
The Hotel, has reopened after two-year refurbishment programme, its new furnishing enhanced by rich decorations, stuccoes and marbles, an emotive setting for the hotel’s traditional charm and attention to details.
The hotel has 176 elegantly furnished rooms of which: 158 double rooms, 5 junior suites and 13 suites. The restaurant overlooking a beautiful internal garden, offers high level cuisine which is creative while still paying attention to the regional gastronomic tradition.
The American Bar is a comfortable atmosphere for a friendly drink or a working snack; The Wellness Centre, equipped with Turkish bath, provides the possibility of a complete and regenerating physical workout.
The spacious conference rooms equipped with the latest facilities are composed of six rooms, from 10 to 130 seats, and a Conference Centre, with its Business Centre, which can hold up to 350 people.
The hotel is in Catania’s historical centre, handily situated for sightseeing visits, both guided or independent, to the city centre’s artistically and architecturally significant churches and museums. It is also a convenient base for trips to nearby destinations: Taormina, Syracuse, Noto, Etna, Piazza Armerina and Agrigento, among many others!!
