"This hotel is in the perfect location for the historic part of the city, everything within walking distance. There is a tram stop outside the door and great for catching taxis. The family rooms are spacious and light but the twin room was very small and dark. Kept very clean but you could smell cigarette smoke as with a lot of small European hotels. There is only one restaurant and breakfast is limited especially after 8 days, but the regular menu for lunch and dinner was fine. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. The personnel at the adjacent restaurant & bar (where the breakfast was served) were really personable and fun. I don't know why other people have complained about their breakfast. Faros Hotel Istanbul has 23 rooms, 3 Suites, altogether 52 beds. Rooms enjoy views to the Sea of Marmara, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The breakfast is served at the Central Pub Restaurant. The Central Pub Restaurant is open 24 hours for the guests. All major credit cards are accepted. |
