"Photos on the net do this place justice. The outside of the building was a little run down, entering through the front door you could smell the dust, it looked gloomy. The bedroom was tiny, the bathroom door kept jamming, Toilet did not flush properly, the wood fire chimney needed a really good clean as the entertaining area with pool table was inundated with the smell of smoke which penetrated through the rooms and not to mention breakfast, Coffee was cold let alone having to pay for the coffe which seems to be not included, we have never seen such small poached eggs & sausages in our lives. "At first I was a little disappointed as I have never been in a hotel like this one before. I took it all for granted as it is decorated in an old fashion. But the staffs were so welcoming and now I really appreciate the whole hotel including those gorgeous open fires, cozy bar, friendly games room, romantic pool and spa and mouth watering breakfast. Not a lot of choice for buffet breakfast, but was adequate.

"The hotel was very nice - old style the fire place was lovely to sit beside and the staff where wonderful & friendly.
Although at first the hotel did have the burnt wood smell(maybe needs airing)and is in need of some repair work I would definatley recommend it for anyone wishing to stay." - Anonymous
