"This is a fabulous place to stay!!! Clean, spacious, friendly, great facilities (phone, internet, laundry, kitchen etc) at a very resonable price. Its about 5 mins drive from city centre, we had a car, not sure about public transport. Staff are lovely, upgraded us to a bigger room because they were quiet!Would highly recommend!!" - Kieran Ryan
"I asked for a Budget room which sleeps up tp 6 guests, but when I tried booking I couldn't book 5 guests without asking for an extra bed. Otherwise the Lodge that we stayed at was very reasonable, and the room had enough space, also the other facilities in the Lodge were very good. I definitely recommend it." - Anonymous

Forrester Lodge opened in 2005 and offers an excellent range of accommodation and conference facilities including spacious self contained motel units, two large family units, bed and breakfast rooms, large guest lounge, sunny sheltered courtyard and medium and small conference rooms. Our rooms are tastefully furnished and our very comfortable beds are often mentioned by appreciative guests.
Ideally situated in King Edward Street, the Lodge is on the main bus route to the City and is a 10-minute walk to the Edgar Sports Centre, Kettle Park, the beach, Ice Skating Rink and Carisbrook. Forrester Lodge building is smoke free. |

Directions:
Forrester Lodge is situated at 353 King Edward Street, St Kilda, Dunedin. The route to Forrester is straightforward when arriving from Dunedin City or the airport.
From airport:
Follow the signs into Dunedin. At the end of the Southern Motorway turn right into Andersons Bay Road, go under the railway overbridge with the large Speights Sign. Turn right at the third set of lights by the McDonalds sign. Continue to next set of traffic lights and turn left. Pass through the next intersection. Forrester Lodge is opposite the large Caltex sign.
From North of Dunedin:
Once you come of the Northen Motor way continue onto the one way street system through Dunedin (after several blocks you will pass Dunedin Railway Station on you left) continue on this road (best to stay in left hand lane until you have passed the exit to Southern Motorway and then move into right hand lane (you are now in Andersons Bay Road) and follow the above directions. |
