"The Grand is very plush and efficient. I booked the budget standard room which is now advertised as inside room with no view, that is the case but it was still ample for me as a single with good bed, lots of room and a great shower.
The budget room does not include breakfast and for the price of the buffet breakfast, you may wish to upgrade the room if breakfast is included as there are no places within an easy walk from the hotel to eat.
The hotel offers free shuttle to the nearest MRT station and very reasomable airport shuttle service.
I would definately stay there again." - Scott Ames
"Overall a very nice hotel. This hotel is really a landmark, and the structure is absolutely impressive, which increases its appeal. The facilities could use some improvement, such as free internet. The location is also good but not excellent, as it's not really too close to anything at all. In terms of price, it's a little expensive but I still think it's worth staying here at least a night or two just for the experience." - David Salamon
"It seems the rooms are not good in sound-proof. I can clearly hear sounds made in the neiboring rooms at night. " - Yanjiang YANG
"I found the Grand Hotel Taipei to be a beautiful hotel whose architecture and lobby truly gave one a taste of being in China. While the economy rooms were a bit small, it didn't matter if, as was the case for me, it were just a place to lay your head for the night while touring around the city. The more expensive view rooms were nicer and would have been worth the upgrade if I had spent more time at the hotel. While the location initially seemed to be a problem, once I discovered the shuttle bus to the MRT I found it to be quite convenient and a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of being in town." - Marilyn Simon
