"Overall the hotel was good - in particular the location (excellent), price and staff. The only issue I had was that work seemed to be going on at the time we were there which is fair enough but the noise of drills in the breakfast room was a bit annoying so we didnt bother going for breakfast the second morning! I understand that this work needs to happen but maybe if it was mentioned when you check in so that it doesnt come as a shock in the morning! " - Anonymous
"The rooms were very small, poorly decorated, cramped and claustrophobic. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was a lack of power points, no bedside lamps. The tea/coffee facilities were not working. The hotel was overpriced.
It was quite a trek up stairs and along corridors to find the room.
The front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful. Despite this it was not a pleasant " - Anonymous

The hotel operates on a room only basis, however, in the morning a full Scottish breakfast is available for a very reasonable price in Biddy Mulligans Pub on the ground floor, the pleasant atmosphere & hearty breakfast served by our helpful staff combine to form a great start to any day in Edinburgh.

From airport of M8 Glasgow, follow A8 signs to City Centre. At west end of Princes Street turn right into Lothian Road. Then 1st left into King Stables Road. Continue until you reach the Grassmarket and turn left. The hotel is located at the end of the Grassmarket and on the corner of Victoria Street. |
