Its roots dating back to the 15th century and located on Damrak in the heart of Amsterdam , Hotel Amsterdam - De Roode Leeuw, opened in 1911, is one of the few still privately owned hotels of Amsterdam.

The a-la-carte restaurant De Roode-Leeuw is legendary for its Dutch regional specialities and the coffee shop with the oldest covered and heated terrace of Amsterdam is a famous meeting place since decades.
