"Very enjoyable stay. Hotel room clean, quiet and spacious with a large firm bed. Air conditioning worked fine (for a quieter night dial the thermostat to warm until it switches off). Staff helpful and prepared to serve only a cappucino even when the restaurant was busy. Didn't try breakfast but the hotel is literally next door to a supermarket. There were at least a couple of restaurants within walking distance but we found more choice if we drove. Train journey from Empoli station to Florence only half an hour and 10 euros for two returns. "There was some short of bad behavior from the stuff at the restaurant, during one morning I was asking for a capuccino and the insist on talking Italian to me and asking me to pay a full breakfast. The gentle receptionist settled things down!
