"simple but sympathic hotel, located in a attractive part of the beautifull town of Lyon near one of its theaters. When we were in this hotel, medio august, the theater was closed and it was very quietly. Maybe that'll be different when the theaterseason starts." - Anonymous

"Overall a good hotel. Very good location, clean and recently refurbished throughout. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by the building work being completed on the floor of our hotel room, resulting in exposed electrical wires, inactive fire alarms, a smokey atmosphere from the builders, and dust and wet plastering along the corridor.In my opinion, completing this work while paying guests are staying on this floor was disgraceful - the floor should have been closed. The staff did move us when I complained but we shouldn't have had to deal with that in the first place. Also, the hotel needs to explicitly mention there is no lift and 6 flights of stairs to the top rooms. " - Anonymous

The Hotel du Theatre overlook the Theatre des Celestins. It is very quiet and comfortable. It has been recently party renovated and it is nicely decorated.
We can propose you 24 rooms of different type, unique in style and their decoration.
The hotel is located in the centre of LYON, between Bellecour square and saint Jean area which are considered to be the most tourist sites together with very famous Fourviere basilica.
The hotel is 3 minutes on foot from Merciere street, the street famous for its numerous restaurants.
You can also have your dinner in very beautiful old LYON, which is on the other side of the Saône river.

Getting There:

The hotel du Theatre is easily accessible by Bellecour metro station two stations from Perrache Station (A line, direction L. Bonnevay) and four stations from Part Dieu Station (B line until Saxe Gambetta and then D line until Bellecour station)
By bus from Part Dieu station line 28 until Bellecour square.
If you want to come by car from PARIS, please take first road out on the right after Tunnel de Fourviere in the direction of“vieux LYON”, then after the third traffic lights turn right after the bridge Maréchal Juin, Finally, after the second traffic lights take, rue de Savoie .

The reception is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift.
