"The Knight Residence is an excellent facility with secure car parking which is a big bonus in Edinburgh. I stayed in a superior apartment which was like a home from home. The facilities were excellent and the little attention to detail really made our stay e.g full bottle of milk in fridge, plentiful breakfast supplies including a loaf of bread.
The concierges attention was excellent and even gave us a tour of the room which had a fantastic view of the castle, although disappointingly the view will be lost soon due to the construction of a office across the road.
The reason i have marked location as average is that it is in the centre of the lap dancing bars, so there were a lot of leery men hanging around from 7pm onwards, a bit disconcerting for my girlfriend. Actual location to all the major attractions is excellent with a 5 minute walk to Princes Street and the Grassmarket.

The lounge areas include sofas and armchairs, dining areas, plasma-screen TVs with satellite channels, and VCR/DVD players. Fully-equipped kitchens come with breakfast packs on arrival, while tea and coffee are replenished daily. Tiled bathrooms have mosaic floors, shower/tub combinations, heated towel rails and mirrors, and Arran Aromatics toiletries.

The Edinburgh Airport City Centre bus service runs to Edinburgh centre every 10 minutes between 7 AM and 9.40 PM (Monday to Friday) and 10.10 AM and 5.30 PM at weekends. Single fares are £3.30 and open returns are £5. Guests should disembark at Shandwick Place and take a taxi (£4) to The Knight Residence. A taxi from the airport to the hotel will cost around £18. All prices are subject to change. |
