"If you want a hotel that's reasonably priced, very nicely decorated, has it's own excellent sports bar, mouth watering breakfast, lovely rooms, and only 10min walk to city centre..stay here!
It's great for anyone who wants a hotel, but none of the informal stuff that goes with it. There's only 20 odd rooms so it's nice and cosy. The breakfast is near enough all you can eat. If coming back to Edinburugh, I'd definitely stay there again. Top Marks!" - Anonymous
"Very friendly and polite staff. Hotel is about 15 mins walk from Grass Market and Princes Street. Its in a lush green area with a nice 24-hr pub. Not a bad location, if you dont mind walking about. In case you like to use public transport or taxis, there are plenty of options as well. " - Gaurav Sharma
"I thought that this hotel was over-priced given the low quality of the rooms, grottiness of the public spaces (hallway unhoovered, carpet frayed and blackened, some doors unpainted in a long time, with marks at the bottom of the door). That said, the room was clean (if seriously in need of a re-furb) and the bathroom spotless. But my take on this is that if you don't look after the public areas, then you have no real interest in client opinion. Service was OK - but nothing more than that. I got the impression that this was the kind of place to come for a weekend on the beer - not great. The only positive was wifi access!" - Anonymous
