"This small hotel (6 rooms) has an excellent location with just minutes from all the attractions. Rooms are great with nice and spacy bathrooms. Nice breakfast room with a good breakfast (bread, ham, jam, juice, cheese, coffee and tea. Good stuff.
Personnell are friendly and can help with many suggestions.
We will definately go back and will recommend this place warmly!

"This little hotel is hidden in the heart of Venice. As we spent minimal time in our room, it worked out fine. Location was excellent. A standard double room was small, complimentary breakfast could have been better. We were bitten all night by mosquitoes, but apart from all that, lovely staff, good location. " - Anonymous
"As long as you book in prior to 11pm you'll have no problems finding the place. If not, you'll need to check in at another hotel in one of the squares. They don't tell you this before you arrive so it was by complete chance that I managed to work this out. If you intend to arrive late, be sure to ask for directions!
Once there though the hotel has surprisingly large rooms with there own spacious bathrooms. The hotel is in a fantastic location near to Saint Marks square and all other attractions in that area.

Finely restored, Locanda Bararigo has been obtained by a part of the ancient and noble "Palazzo Barbarigo". It is located in the core center of Venice, in a quiet and cozy position, at 5 minutes walking distance from St. Mark's Square and "La Fenice " Theatre.
Its bedrooms are tastefully decorated in '700 Venetian style and offer air conditioning, heating, color TV, telephone, mini-bar, safe ,private facilities with hairdryer, shower or tub, towel-heating. Some of them offer a delightful view on a typical Venetian canal where serenade gondolas row by. |

From Piazzale Roma or Santa Lucia Train Station take the "vaporetto" (waterbus) ACTV Line 1, stop at Santa Maria del Giglio; when you are in Campo Santa Maria del Giglio turn on the left, cross the bridge and always keeping the left side you'll get the "Fondamenta Duodo o Barbarigo", where our Locanda is situated (n° 2503/A).
If you arrive at Marco Polo airport you can take the Alilaguna boat driving you directly to St. Mark's Square (San Marco Giardinetti).
From here you can:
- Take the line 1 ACTV public boat and get off on "Santa Maria del Giglio" (name stop) cross the little street in front of you and turn left and cross one bridge. You will be in "Fondamenta Duodo o Barbarigo" where our Locanda is situated (n° 2503/A).
- Or walk taking your left hand and go through the main street Via XXII Marzo, reach Campo Santa Maria del Giglio, cross the bridge in front of you. You will be in "Fondamenta Duodo o Barbarigo", where our Locanda is situated (n° 2503/A). |
