"Hotel was modern and well presented. It was disappointing not to have televison and basic food making facilities provided. Food to purchase around the area is extremely expensive, but the only choice available. The airconditioning didn't seem to work effectivly and therefore made for a warm uncomfortable night. Overall the hotel was nice, but I'm glad we only stayed for 1 night. " - Anonymous
"A fantastic hotel! The hotel staff was very friendly and the facilities were great. We really enjoyed the pool. The decor of the room was very modern and unique, we were very impressed. Other things that we really liked was how the bags were delivered and picked up from the room, and that our vouchers for our tours were awaiting for us upon check in. Should we have friends that plan to visit Ayers Rock, we would certainly insist they stay at the Lost Camel. " - Shawn Laviolette
"An excellent hotel on the Ayres Rock Resort - a little pricey but overall worth the money for what is unlikely to be an extended stay. If you are thinking about taking tours - can I also recommend Discovery EcoTours for informed and entertaining trips with small parties? My trip to Yulara and the National Park was the highlight of my Australian holiday..." - Nigel Last
"Good fun hotel, small rooms but imaginatively designed and comfortable. Good pool and poolside area, can be a little difficult to get refreshment with no restaurant" - Emily Yeatman

| Hotel Description: |
|
In 1801, Padraic McKee traded the last of his money for three camels, then set out on an ill-fated expedition into the desert. The locals swear that on the quietest of nights, the sound of a lost camel can be heard commencing its long, slow journey home.
Contemporary, 3½ star studio-style accommodation, The Lost Camel features 99 guest rooms. The lobby features contemporary furnishings, bright open spaces, and an intimate café and bar. At the heart of the hotel is an inviting pool and deck, where guests soak up the sun and relax in between tours.
Furnished in a stylish mix of Aboriginal and urban themes, The Lost Camel brings a fresh, exciting feel to Voyages Ayers Rock Resort.
The guest rooms are decorated in bright, contrasting colours and crisp, clean whites. Stylishly framed photographs based on Aboriginal themes, such as hands weaving baskets or sifting through berries, adorn the walls to enhance this new hotel's distinctive, modern ethos.
With over 65 tours, local activities and attractions within the Resort and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, your days will be action-packed. Visit the Cultural Centre to learn about the land through Aboriginal arts, displays, videos and demonstrations. Take a walking tour to discover the natural flora and fauna of the area, or head to the viewing platforms of both Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) for the best view of an outback sunrise and sunset. |
